Music After Detention gig - 5 October, The Lighthouse pub, Deal

2nd October 2019

For the first time ever, we are delighted to be running a very special 3 day residency in Dover (3-5 October), with musicians we worked with whilst detained in the UK’s immigration detention system.

Until 2015 there was an Immigration Removal Centre in Dover, sited in Dover’s Western Heights Nature Reserve. Some of these musicians were held there. We co-create soundtracks with people who are detained in Immigration Removal Centres. This time we are working with musicians after detention. The residency includes a concert and presentation which will be free and open to the public.

5 October Music After Detention: Gig @ The Lighthouse in Deal 20:30 – 23:00

Free entry

This extra-special gig includes a series of tracks made and performed by Music In Detention musicians during the residency held in Dover with Ollie Seagar, supported by John Buckett and Anna De Mutiis. It will be accompanied by a set from Kotchin (AKA Ollie Seagar) and a short presentation from Music In Detention.

Lighthouse is based at 50 The Strand, Walmer, Deal Kent CT14 7DX.
